The Mahakal Tour Circuit — popularly known as the Indore–Ujjain–Omkareshwar–Maheshwar Circuit — is one of India's most revered and frequently travelled spiritual routes. Centred around Madhya Pradesh, this pilgrimage covers two of the twelve sacred Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva in a single, well-connected loop.
One of India's ancient Sapta Puri (seven sacred cities) and legendary capital of the Avanti kingdom, once a global centre for astronomy and Sanskrit learning under King Vikramaditya. Houses the Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlinga — uniquely Dakshinmukhi (south-facing) and central to Tantric Shaivite tradition.
